Sitharkund viewpoint is a beautiful viewpoint at Nelliyampathi, Palakkad District, which gives the spectacular valley view of whole Palakkad and at the edge of the Sitharkund viewpoint track we can see the Sitharkund waterfalls, the best time to visit and view the waterfall is monsoon though.
Sitharkund is believed to be the place where Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Goddess Sita took rest during their banishment phase. You will also find the tree’s that has become the landmark and attraction for Nelliampathi. Wherever you search for Nelliampathi the first thing you get to see is the gooseberry tree. When you move a bit from there you can find the suicide point from where the Sitharkund waterfall will be visible clearly.

An exploration and yet peaceful experience are promised at Sitharkund Viewpoint. The cloudy sky merges with the greenery is a sight to look at.

– Take NH544, Koduvayur Pallavoor Vithanasseri Rd and Nenmara – Nelliyampathy Rd to Nelliyampathy – Seetharkundu Rd.
– Follow Nelliyampathy – Seetharkundu Rd to Seethargundu Estate Rd in Kollengode South.
Nice place to visit.
