This trekking destination is located which is my favorite spot. Hey, its from the place which i spend whole childhood. so, it’s give way an extra pleasure & pride to explain its beauty. “Dhoni waterfalls” An ideal place to watch nature at close quarters. The forest area is rich in wildlife like elephant, tiger, deer, other Animals.
Dhoni also offer ideal place for trekking and one can walk down to Malampuzha and Meen vallam waterfalls from Dhoni through its thick forests. But this requires prior authorization from District Forest Officer.

The trekking team will be leads by a well familiar tour guide. 3-4 hours of trek from the base of the Dhoni hills will take you to the unspoiled beauty of landscape and the green surroundings will restore your moods. The trekking starts at the foot of the hills near the Teak plantations. A narrow mountain way is there for 4 wheeler drives and motorbikes that lead up to the waterfall; however personal & private vehicles are prohibited from crossing these roads. This 4 km long trekking trail through the lush green environs donates one with a quiet isolated space to witness nature in its most peaceful manner. This guided trek is best to start trekking early mornings, so more time can be spent in the company of the gorgeous waterfall.

The waterfalls are full during monsoon and it overflows with beautiful small streams gushing down, so the best time to visit is during monsoon (June – September). Swimming in the waterfall is not allowed, though there are places down the stream for bathing. The return journey is comparatively easy lasting usually around 2 hours.
Advisable to add more pictures on outskirts. Nice work.
